This page is about a necklace you can see above. To make it I used 3 types of beads: cubic semiprecious stone (Shame on me, I don't remember it's name) brown seed beads and plum seed beads in size 10. The technique is quite simple so to make this nekclace you don't need a lot of time.

Phase 1:

The basis of the necklace is a simple chain made from brown seed beads and stone beads.
There is numerous ways to achieve this effect (I cah think of three at the moment), so I'm just show pictures of them, I hope they're selfexplainig enough.

Two needle method.

Chain created by using one needle.

Chain created by using peyote technique.
Every tenth cycle I added a stone bead at point of intersection. Every twentieth cycle I did only from stone beads. Continue a chain to achive preferable length. My chain is about 40 inches long and it doesn't have a clasp. So I just connected an ends of the chain.

Phase 2:

How for the fun part. To add a dimension I twined the chain with plum color beads. Pass the needle through a side bead, pick up 3 beads and pass the needle through a bead from opposite side from next cycle (diagonally). Turn the chain and repeat the action, so the next three beads will be placed from another side of your chain (creating spiral around the chain). Continue all the way through the chain.
